Job description
Attend and assist St. Paul’s general librarian by acquiring periodicals to ensure that all users have both online and print access to relevant and up-to-date information.
Communicate with the audience of the Learning Resource Center so that there is a satisfactory communication with the users, thus ensuring audience is at ease
Ensure that all operational or administrative aspects of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) are executed efficiently and professionally.
Job Description
Contact national and international publishers of magazine publications via e-mails, by telephone to ensure the timely delivery of requests, in short, handle all the administrative requirements necessary for efficient control.
Register online journals on the system so that the Learning Resource Center manager can access information if necessary.
Communicate via e-mail or talk in person with teachers / students about the availability of journals for academic or leisure use.
Assist in the selection of useful books for the library using the “School Librarian” magazine where there are fiction and nonfiction books for all ages to increase and renew our stock.
Assist users in choosing books / journals for research related to their needs.
Lend and return books / magazines to users by putting them back on the shelves for new loans.
Guide parents and visitors how to use L.R.C’s Heritage system to find resources relevant to their needs so that everyone is satisfied.
Keep the Learning Resource Center in order by checking that the tables are free and the computers in order for new users to use the spaces.
Oversee the behavior of all users of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) in a general way, in order to respect the rules and rules of the LRC, reinforcing any measures necessary to ensure the discipline of all.
Solve problems through positive attitudes aimed at understanding in general.

Requirements
Specific knowledge
Microsoft Office and library system
Fluency in English and Portuguese is desirable
